Shoes
Sturdy, dark coloured shoes marketed as suitable for school are appropriate, including the black trainers-style shoes. However, we ask parents and carers to avoid sandals, boots, heels, sling backs, white/coloured trainers, crocs and any other shoes which are unsuitable for running, climbing and playing. Wearing unsuitable shoes could exclude your child from activities such as the daily run and using the yard equipment.
Coats
Children can wear any coat which suits the weather, we strongly recommend that children bring a coat to school every day as the weather can change quickly and the children play outside if at all possible, even in the rain. Tots to Teams do stock a range of school branded coats for summer and winter weather.
Jewellery
Jewellery is not allowed in school for health and safety reasons, if children have pierced ears then they must be capable of sticking surgical tape over the earrings (for the first six weeks) or removing them completely (after 6 weeks) before joining in with PE.
ALL ITEMS OF UNIFORM AND CLOTHING FOR SCHOOL SHOULD BE CLEARLY NAMED
Birthdays and non uniform days
All children are able to wear clothes of their own choice on their birthday, or on the school day nearest to their birthday.
We occasionally have other non uniform days such as Red Nose Day, Green Day, topic celebration days and so on.
Lost Property
We have a lost property box in the playground cloakroom. Parents and children are welcome to come and have a look through if they think they have something missing. Items with names in usually find their way back to the right owner.
