There are rarely two days the same, but a typical day usually follows this structure:
08:50 |
The day begins at 8.50am and children can come straight into school. Children should not be left unsupervised before the doors open. |
10:15 or 10:30 |
Assembly - whole school, classes or key stage groups.
|
10:15 or 10:35 |
Playtime, outdoor, weather permitting (only heavy rain or other unsafe conditions result in indoor play).
|
11:50/12:00/12:10 |
Morning school finishes at 11:50 for Reception children, KS1 children at 12:00 and at 12:10 for KS2 children. There are two sittings for lunch. Reception go for lunch at 11:50, KS1 at 12:00 and KS2 at 12:30.
|
13:00 |
Afternoon lessons begin. |
14:00 |
Afternoon break for ten minutes for KS1 and Reception. |
15:20 |
Home time. If children are not picked up they wait inside school while a member of staff attempts to contact a parent or carer. Reception children are collected from the EYFS gate. All children in KS1 are collected from their classroom doors on the yard or courtyard. Children in Deer and Squirrel Classes will exit at the East stairs and Skylark and Lapwing Classes will leave via the West stairs. If children are being picked up by an adult other than their usual carer, parents should inform school. |
